Report from Goal Committees: Small Groups: Gerry, Dan, Moheb, David That the purpose of a home fellowship (aka small groups) is primarily to build relationships among those who attend St. Brendan’s and secondly to invite nonmembers to participate in that fellowship’s focus. (See attached for the complete report) Evangelism: Trevor, Jan, Pam, Bruce It was reinforced in our discussion that we need to be forward thinking as to how to help new people coming to St. Brendan’s. Our first concern is to help people find Jesus Christ and deepen their faith in Our Lord. To do this we must be able to share our faith with them in an effective manner, help them understand our faith in the Anglican tradition and support them in their walk with God by becoming disciples who help lead others to Christ. (See attached for the complete report) Access to Services (aka Elder Care Ministry): Fr. Kevin, Cavin, Darlene Our goal would be to have within the year, a ministry team comprised of Lay Eucharistic ministers, clergy and volunteers to serve people in their homes and 2 to 4 retirement facilities with worship and transportation services for existing and future church members. (See attached for the complete report) Clergy Report – Fr. Kevin: Kevin expressed his appreciation for the outstanding witnessing that Bob Wagner did during the Relay for Life Cancer Walk. St. Brendan’s was the only church represented. Committee Reports: Gerry announced this year’s Leadership Summit August 6 and 7, a satellite presentation sponsored by Willow Creek Association through Cornwall Church. Other New Business: Dan distributed a proposed amendment to the bylaws of St. Brendan’s. It was tabled until the September meeting. Gerry led us in the Lord’s Prayer.
